A special kid's few minutes of his life - based on a true story

Special children must always be considered special. One day, while I was on a bus to my office, I saw a deaf and dumb kid with his mother. He was dressed in a green uniform that belongs to one of the famous schools in our city. He must be in his 3rd or 4th grade.

He was playing with a small leaf in his hands with which he was trying to distract his mother. But, his mother looked sad and desperate. She looked like she had a lot of worries as her face expressed so. She refused attention from her playful son. He did that twice, she didn't respond. When he did for the third time, she turned to him and made signs at him angrily.

He felt so embarrassed and turned to the window with a disheartened face dropping the leaf down. I've noticed that she had passed on her worries to her son too. How said this was!

After a few minutes, he found some construction works going on by the roadside. He became curious to know what it was for. So he again asked in his sign language 'What was this construction work for?'

She replied back in signs that these were for road extensions and also said that they've chopped many trees. He did't get her. He wanted his mother to repeat that for him. And again, she felt annoyed and replied with 'harsh' signs.

Now that he has understood what was that for, the young fellow felt happy.

This little incident just happened in a few minutes. What pondered me is the behavior of the mother.
She might have a lot of worries within her regarding her child's condition, but she shouldn't have suppressed her child's playful behavior and his curiosity. Overcoming situations for such a mother is really tougher but as a mother, she must take up the responsibility to teach her child no matter where. She fails to be a good one when she behaves the opposite.

No matter in what state of mind she is, she must have come out of her devastating situation at least for the sake of her child. Also parents must be ready to accept their child, however they are! It's really tougher, but you have to be.
