Just simply boasting about my pets
Yippee! You love pets too? Me too!
Small pets, large pets, wet pets, dry pets, hairy pets,
hairless pets, thin pets, obese pets, and whatever and however the pets are,
they are our besties.
Now, let’s see how people like me fall in love with these pets.
Dogs
Of course we all love dogs, they are our best friend. A dog
lover would think dog, play dog, and dream dog. Dogs were domesticated long
ago. They have been part of our life since ancient times.
There are 339 breeds of dogs and the figure may vary.
Rottweilers are considered to be one of the most dangerous breeds. Border
collie are intelligent breeds. From Great Dane to Chihuahua, the size that
matters ranges from 3.8 inches to 2 feet 4 inches.
Like you and I, dogs also have jobs- Hunting, Tracking,
Working, Herding, Truffle sniffing, Water Rescue, Fighting, Guarding, Fishing,
and Sleeping (Oops! certainly they it as an important job).
Aww! His sparkling eyes I adore the most! |
Cats
Cats were also domesticated like
dogs very long back. This fluffy friend cuddles you like you are his bean bag. And
remember they are little carnivorous mammals who hunt for very little animals
like rats, lizards, insects, small birds, etc.
73 cat breeds have been listed by the
International Progressive Cat Breeders Alliance (IPCBA). Cats eat, sleep, play,
watch wildlife, Groom, Stretch & Scratch, climb, hide, and are adored by
their humans.
The best thing they do is make a
‘Christmas tree tail’ when they turn aggressive (yes! Very, very angry mood).
Oh the tail tells many tales! |
Fishes
Ornamental fishes are
now the third most popular pet in the UK after canines and felines as
these are easier to take care of. There are many beautiful varieties of pet
fishes all around the world. Some are extremely pricey too!
The saddest reality is they are
far more intelligent than they get credit for, and are social animals who
languish in small tanks.
The most deadliest fish your tank
may have is Boxfish that secretes toxin from their skin, killing all its
inmates. Fancy Guppy, Dwarf Gourami, and Ghost Shrimp are some smaller
varieties that you can adore in small tanks.
So lonely and boring, wish she had a tadpole at least to talk with! |
Guinea Pigs
These small rodents are pets that steal away your hearts.
Their all time duty is chew, chew,….. and chew. They love to eat geens,
especially grass. Give them a sack full grass, they’ll empty them in an hour.
They were native of South America. There are nearly ten breeds in the world.
Did you know, the newborn immediately starts feeding on
grass as soon as they are popped out of their mom. They babies weigh around 100
gm and the adult about 0.7 to 1.2 kg.
The harmless little animals give you a great companionship and
are adorable too.
I wish everything on this planet turns into grass! |
Hope you enjoyed reading this article of the pets I owned!
